The Director of Low-Rise Construction will be responsible for leading the Low-Rise Housing teams' operational performance. Performance includes delivering new home build homes on time and on budget.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountabilities - Low-Rise Homebuilding:
- Lead, manage and be accountable for all functional areas of the low-rise homebuilding team.
- Operational performance while maintaining best-in-class safety standards.
- Delivery of best-in-class customer service .
- Leadership and/or participation in development and execution of strategy and business plans.
- Achieve results against the approved budget and business plan.
- Performance and career development of staff; and
- Providing best advice to the Vice-President.
Leadership & Management:
- Overall planning, direction and appraisal of individual staff's work and performance.
- Fostering effective team culture and work environment.
- Compliance with Cresco policies and procedures.
- Promotions/transfers, salary actions, hiring, disciplinary discussions, and terminations. •
Construction:
- In collaboration with the Health & Safety Manager, create an environment where high standards of safety are maintained, ensuring compliance not only with regulations but striving to exceed Cresco standards.
- Establish and maintain schedules to achieve all home delivery dates.
- Exemplary appearance of all communities, show homes, and standing inventory.
Budgets, Contracts & Purchasing:
- Oversight for house budgets, cost tracking.
- Establish and maintain robust purchasing and construction release protocols to maintain construction programs with the goal of achieving budgeted margins and even flow production.
- Through positive Cresco engagement of our trade partners, seek ways to control costs while delivering superior product and performance.
- Drive innovation: work with the entire team to stay abreast of product and material evolution and implement into our product offering and construction practices. •
Financial Performance
- Profit and loss responsibility
- Responsible for development, execution, and status reporting of plans to maximize revenues/gross margins and minimize costs/expenses.
- Market Intelligence: market conditions and buyer's needs/wants; competitive analysis.
- Post secondary education in management, construction management, marketing ir business with demonstrated exposure to critical thinking
- Twelve (12) plus years' experience with a minumum of seven years leading a multi functional construction team
