Job Description Summary

Contribute to the development and maintenance of TD's Enterprise Sanctions/ABAC programs, including frameworks, methodologies, policies, standards, procedures, awareness and specialized training, monitoring, management reporting and escalation of issues. Support the Centralized Sanctions Group's (CSG) management in delivery of initiatives related to risk assessments, internal/external reviews, issues management, program oversight,

Job Description

CUSTOMER

  • Contribute to the development of team procedures and governance processes and advise relevant stakeholders of changes and enhancements to enterprise Sanctions/ABAC programs and requirements and where they may impact in the organization.
  • Work with CSG and FCRM (Financial Crimes Risk Management) partners and other related groups (such as Compliance, Legal and Risk etc.) to support creation of documentation and reports required by external regulatory bodies and TD internal groups
  • Support governance and oversight initiatives related to the Enterprise Sanctions/ABAC programs
  • Assist team members in the tracking, management and reporting of issues
  • Support the tracking, design and coordination of risk assessment initiatives for Enterprise Sanctions / ABAC programs
  • Prepare summaries, presentations, briefing notes, and any other required documentation to effectively report on the status of the Sanctions and ABAC Enterprise programs
  • Interact with control functions within the organization
  • Conduct meaningful research, analysis, and assessment of the Sanctions/ABAC programs activities at the functional level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of the enterprise Sanctions/ABAC programs

SHAREHOLDER

  • Prioritize and manage own workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity
  • Provide high quality service and advice to key business partners and monitor progress of initiatives, action plans, and
  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and ensure the prompt and thorough resolution of escalated non-standard, high-risk issues
  • Participate in projects as needed, to facilitate and oversee changes to enterprise Sanctions/ABAC processes, systems, or practices
  • Coordinate with other CSG partners and business compliance partners to ensure consistency in the application of Sanctions/ABAC programs and standards across the enterprise
  • Monitor Sanctions/ABAC developments and maintain strong knowledge of evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
  • Participate in responding to periodic exams/audits by regulatory bodies and Internal Audit

  • Execute on more complex and/or non-standard requests
  • Research and investigates a range of operational / reporting / process issues
  • Recommend and implement solutions within own area of responsibility
  • Provide advanced analysis and/or specialized reporting to support business partners, functional areas or centres of expertise
  • Require advanced technical / business / function knowledge for discipline supported
  • High level of complexity in operational / reporting / process and/or analysis function requiring medium to longer term focus
  • Represent the group as the lead or subject matter expert on projects / initiatives and/or at meetings across the organization
  • Reports to a Sanctions Program Risk and Governance Senior Manager

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years experience
