About the Program

The Graduate Leadership Program (GLP) is is a 24-month rotational program, that engages Managers in 4 rotations across our North American footprint, providing critical learning experiences and developing skills for leadership roles in the future.

The program focuses on attracting, developing, and retaining transformational, agile leaders in emerging areas of the bank. Transformative leaders aren't necessarily high-tech experts. Their main attributes are their ability to inspire, manage complexity, and drive progress in rapidly changing environments. They desire to apply their digital and technology know-how to better serve our customers.

GLP Managers will be offered great project work across dynamic areas such as Digital & Phone Channels, Advanced Analytics, Innovation, Product Management, Retail & Commercial Banking, Wealth, TD Insurance, ESG, Sustainable Finance, and more.

We are seeking individuals who:

  • Have a combination of business experience plus digital capability/technical know-how.

  • Digitally minded with passion and curiosity for exploring innovative ways to utilize digitization, automation, analytics, and agile ways of working

  • Strong and effective communications skills with relentless growth mindset and ability to persuade, present, and influence positively

  • Change champion - comfortable facing challenges and working with ambiguity, adapting approach to changing workplace and market dynamic

Make an Impact:

  • Apply business experience plus digital capability and technical know-how to create efficiencies in business process and innovative ways of working

  • Champion productivity and manage change impacts by documenting, communicating, and training colleagues and stakeholders

  • Research and identify opportunities to address translate complex technical ideas into simplified business solutions to enrich the lives of our customers

  • Advise and present to senior management to influence outcomes

Experience Growth:

  • Represent business on cross-functional campaigns, working groups, projects, and forums

  • Work with business partners on strategic modernization initiatives as well as BAU (Business as Usual) activities

Cultivate our Culture of Care:

  • Build relationships liaising with internal stakeholders (technology, product / group owners, project teams, business, finance, risk, etc.) and external advisors (vendors, regulators, etc.) where appropriate

How will this program support your development?

It is our aim to develop next generation of leaders who can adapt to the evolving needs of the customers and the bank. This development will be driven largely through critical experience, while completing complex, cross-functional assignments and building a network of relationships.

  • GLP Managers will be offered great project work across dynamic areas such as Digital & Phone Channels, Advanced Analytics, Innovation, Product Management, Retail & Commercial Banking, Wealth, TD Insurance, ESG, Sustainable Finance, and more.

  • Rotations will align to career aspirations, development goals and offer the critical experiences necessary to accelerate your career.

  • You will be stretched through frequent coaching from rotation managers and receive ongoing mentoring from your executive mentor.

  • In addition to your rotation managers, you will be teamed with a talent manager who will serve as a strategic coach to help shape your career development & curate your program experience. Training will focus on developing transformational, agile leadership skills.

Managers work closely with senior leaders, gaining valuable business experience and organizational breadth while strengthening their leadership capabilities. Upon program completion, GLP Managers build their careers in emerging areas across the bank where their interests and capabilities can be best leveraged for organizational impact.

Job Requirements

What You Need to Succeed

  • 2024 or 2025 MBA graduate with technically focused Undergraduate degree (i.e., Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Science, Mathematics, etc.) OR

  • 2024 or 2025 technically focused Master's graduate (i.e., Analytics, Innovation, Digital area, etc.) with business Undergraduate degree.

  • Candidates who are currently pursuing MBA/technically focused masters who will graduate in 2025 are encouraged to apply

  • Preferred candidates have combined business plus technical education through graduate and undergraduate programs; however not a requirement to apply

  • Minimum 5 years of professional work experience
