Definition of Work: The Community Support Manager is accountable for the operation of a comprehensive array of Community Support programs. This includes responsibility for program management, supervision of assigned staff, team building, clinical efficiency, budgetary and operational accountabilities. The Manager will be assigned program lead responsibilities for focus areas within the Community Support Program.Reporting to the Regional Director of Community Support, the manager will participate as a member of the leadership team in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Community Support Program. Provides clinical supervision and leadership of health professionals within the Community Support Program necessary to encourage and support innovation to promote a climate of continuous improvement and creativity. The manager demonstrates skills and abilities necessary to build relationships to enhance linkages with the internal programs and external partners. The manager facilitates the engagement of staff, clients, families, and caregivers in the delivery of services that are focused on quality and safety.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor degree in a Health related discipline or Social Science. Proof of registration and licensure with good standing as a health professional is required. Applicants must have a minimum of five years of clinical experience in the health system. Strong leadership, facilitation and team building skills are essential. The successful candidate must possess advanced analytical and problem-solving skills required to respond to the complex needs of clients in a dynamic environment. Preference will be given to applicants with a broad understanding of the health and community services system and of population health. Previous management experience and a Master Degree in Social Sciences, Nursing or health related areas would be considered an asset. Candidates with other combinations of experience, training and personal attributes may be considered.
