About the Role

Reporting to the Provincial Manager of Evaluation, Quality and Learning Health System you will be responsible for:

  • Work with partners/clients to undertake strategically focused evaluation activities that inform decision-making within NL Health Services
  • Design and implement evaluation plans and frameworks within the province’s health system.
  • Develop and implement data collection tools
  • Monitor evaluation activities
  • Identify and mitigate strategies, where needed, to ensure deliverables are completed as planned.
  • Consult and provide evaluation expertise to health system representatives
  • Write evaluation reports summarizing findings
  • Make evidence-based recommendations to health system representatives
  • Prepare presentations and infographics to support knowledge translation.

About You

Your education and experience include:

  • Master’s degree in Applied Social Psychology, Health Services research, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant evaluation experience.
    • Relevant experience would include but is not limited to:
      • Experience collaborating with stakeholders within the health system.
      • Experience with developing and implementing large scale evaluation projects.
      • Experience preparing comprehensive evaluation reports.
      • Knowledge and experience in continuous quality improvement would be considered as asset.

You have the following skills and abilities:

  • Experience in application of qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods, techniques and analysis is essential.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Good judgment and an ability to build consensus among groups with differing priorities.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking throughout the evaluation process.
  • Ability to function in high pressure, diverse, and changing environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and partners.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
