Job Title: Employment Coordinator - Full-time, Temporary until September 19, 2025.
Location of Position: St. George's, NL
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
Rate of Pay: $42,500.00/per annum
Job Description: The Employment Coordinator supports both members and employers by facilitating access to employment opportunities and ensuring effective connections between members and available positions. Key responsibilities include promoting job opportunities through Qalipu First Nation's social media channels and overseeing the Employment and Youth Programs. This role requires adherence to all organizational policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
· Act as a liaison between members and employers to align employment opportunities with member qualifications.
· Regularly update Qalipu's social media platforms with external job opportunities and ensure all postings are timely, relevant, and accessible to members.
· Contribute to the efficient day-to-day operations of the office.
· Ensure compliance with all internal policies and maintain professional documentation.
· Oversee the delivery and administration of employment and youth programs.
· Identify employment gaps and training needs within communities. Collaborate with partners to develop and deliver targeted training programs to meet local labour market demands.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: The preferred candidate will have completed a post-secondary diploma in a related discipline such as Information Technology, Business Administration, Office Administration, and/or Community Studies. A combination of relevant education and employment will also be considered.
Experience: A minimum of one year's experience in related employment services, program coordination, and community engagement, with strong communication, organizational, data management and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions: This is primarily an office-based position with duties predominantly met during regular working hours. However, some travel and flexibility of work schedule and work environment will be required depending on the programming and initiatives undertaken.
