Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist I will be responsible for, but not limited to, mechanical ventilation to ABGs (Neonatal and Pediatric), airway management (including intubation/extubation), general therapeutics, computerized pulmonary function studies, and patient transport (internal and external). The successful applicant will be required to become a member of the Neonatal Transport Team.
This position reports to the Manager of Critical Care Services and maintains accountability to the Professional Practice Consultant for Respiratory Therapy for professional integrity and practice issues.

Constantly uses fine finger/precision, auditory, sensory, and visual concentration to provide clinical interventions, assess/monitor patients, to complete documentation, etc.
May be subject to time pressures/deadlines and subject to lack of control over work pace.
Job Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited academic program in Respiratory Therapy is required.
Current registration from the NL Council of Health Professionals is required.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
*The successful applicant must complete in-house neonatal transport training at the first available opportunity in order to become a member of the Neonatal Transport Team.
