Purpose
Global Derivatives Onboarding, who is part of GBM Onboarding is a critical component in the bank's overall AML & Regulatory Compliance efforts. The Associate will manage a team specializing in KYC/AML/Derivatives performing the onboarding activities for GBM/Commercial customers, ensuring to meet Enterprise-Wide and local KYC standards, including regulatory requirements and bank-driven due diligence measures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Assist the Associate Director, Global Derivatives Onboarding to facilitate the onboarding of global GBM/Commercial clients in an efficient, compliant and client-centric manner. Keep Associate Director informed about any anticipated delays in completion of onboarding. Provide subject matter expert and continuously streamline and improve the operations to enhance the customer experience by ensuring a smooth onboarding experience covering KYC, derivatives, margins and tax.
- Ensures adherence to the GBM Client Onboarding Program through operationalizing the policy in the form of well-articulated processes and written procedures; supports industry mandated changes or system changes by participating in the change process; implements changes through compliance with bank policies.
- Provide clear, constructive and regular feedback to analysts, with a focus on personal and professional development.
- Assist with providing day to day oversight and workload management for the team.
- Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of both the Bank's and the Division's business strategies and policies, risk management practices and methodologies, product offerings, financial markets, financial instruments, regulatory requirements, Bank Office processes and rapidly changing technology to assist in driving continuous improvement in efficient and client-centric onboarding procedures.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:
- A graduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline is preferred.
- Working experience in derivatives onboarding and knowledge of regulatory requirements (Canadian KYC/AML, Canadian Trade Reporting, Dodd Frank, EMIR, MIFID and FATCA).
- Knowledge of global banking and capital markets products, including derivatives, margins, and tax-related aspects.
- Knowledge of end-to-end workflows among the Front, Middle, and Back Offices.
- Prior Leadership experience required
