Summer Literacy Camp continuing this summer (July 21-Aug 15).
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid Teaching Certificate recognized by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
2. Must be Elementary certified with experience in lower elementary literacy instruction. Teachers must have completed one full school year of successful teaching to be considered for a Summer School assignment. Other applications will be considered on an as-needed basis.
START/END DATE: July 21st to August 15th, 2024. Note: The Summer Literacy Camp teacher training (which is mandatory) is scheduled for July 3 and 4 and successful candidates need to be available July 3 & July 4 for required professional learning days, in-person at the DEECD. One additional day of asynchronous learning has to be completed prior to July 3rd.
HOURS OF WORK: The teacher will be responsible for 90 minutes of instruction per day, so will be required to work half days.
SALARY: Salary is calculated as 70% of teacher's current daily rate for 50% days.
