The Supervisor, School Technology is directly responsible for the implementation and ongoing support of appropriate information and communication network technologies within the schools of the Halifax Regional Centre for Education. The Supervisor is the technical team lead of a team of Information Technology and Network Specialists. The Supervisor supports Information technology (IT) desktop hardware and software, school networks and infrastructure, and is the primary responder to high and immediate incidents within their assigned area. The Supervisor will work within an established accountability framework to maximize the effectiveness of technology within their schools. Working collaboratively within a team environment, the Supervisor will demonstrate a strong commitment to school improvement in support of student learning and reports directly to Manager, School Technology Support.
Qualifications:
a) Bachelor degree or college diploma in computer science or information technology (IT);
b) Current A+ Certification or Network+ Certification or Microsoft Certified Administrator;
c) Minimum three (3) years progressive experience in information and communication technology;
d) Minimum three (3) years experience in IT technical service and support or equivalent working experience in an educational setting;
e) Valid Nova Scotia Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle to travel between assigned schools.

This is a Professional Employees Group (PEG) position classified on the Education Entities Non-Union Compensation Framework at Band 7 with an annual range between $65,534 - $81,918 .
