GEMTEC is a growing firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and in Ontario, and we are looking for a motivated and skilled Intermediate Field Technician/ Technologist to join our Team. We currently have an opening for an Intermediate Field Technician / Technologist in our Mississauga, ON office.

The successful candidate will have the following:

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• Graduated with a College Level Diploma.
• Experience with materials testing and inspection.
• Experience working with computer assisted drafting (CAD) and surveying is considered an asset.

Main Duties:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

• Subgrade and foundation inspections.
• Supervising a drill rig.
• Intermittent field testing and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt.
• Assisting in training of junior field technicians.
• Various office, laboratory, and field tasks related to materials testing.
• Other duties as required.

Position:

• Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• The successful candidate will be located in Mississauga, Ontario.
