GENERAL DUTIES

Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, modification, installation and housekeeping of networking and telecommunications equipment and systems. Equipment includes, but is not limited to: 48Vdc distribution systems, microwave radio systems, mobile radio equipment, powerline carrier, multiplex equipment, telephone line/drop equipment, data communications systems, supervisory and control systems, PBX & unified communications systems including video conferencing, LAN, WAN, fiber optic systems and a wide variety of computer systems and peripheral equipment. All other duties related to
or associated with this classification.

Responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation's Safety and Health Program. Responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

You have graduated high school and have successfully completed a two- or three-year diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology or Computer Systems/Networking from a recognized post-secondary institution and either have completed the four-year training program established by the Corporation or have four years' experience as a technician in the discipline. You shall have a thorough knowledge of all regulations and safety rules and must possess an appropriate valid driver's license.
