Meridia Recruitment Solutions is pleased to be leading the search for an Accountant to join our client's team who is experiencing rapid growth in North America.

As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in their finance department, overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations. You will collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements.
  • Handle accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and customer inquiries.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of cash balances.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing month-end and year-end close procedures.
  • Assist in financial reporting and analysis, providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and forecasting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • CPA designation or working towards it.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of industry experience in accounting roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
