What you will do
The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is seeking two (2) individuals to join the Saint John District as Bridgeworkers working with the St. George and Renforth Bridge Crews.
Bridgeworker, you will work under the direction of the Bridge Supervisor and be responsible for:
- Constructing and erecting scaffolding
- Hanging staging
- Casting concrete
- Painting
- Constructing special components for bridges
- Repairing damaged sections of wooder bridges
- Building falsework and temporary bridges
Work environment
- Office location: St. George and Renforth
- Work holidays, weekends, shift and/or variable hours.
- May work in adverse weather conditions and must be able to work at heights.

Essential qualifications
- Completion of grade ten (10) and have two (2) years related experience.
- Possession of a valid New Brunswick Class 5 driverâ??s license.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Asset Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate experience in the construction of bridges. Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application the asset qualification in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

SALARY:
Classification: $26.12 per hour.
