Supply Chain Coordinator
Scotian Gold is currently looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator. Reporting to the VP Sales and Marketing you will provide support to the sales team with the day-to-day operational and administrative needs by analyzing inventory and assisting with coordinating orders in a timely and accurate manner. As the successful candidate you would possess a strong attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills. You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and thrive in a team-oriented environment. Demonstrating an ability to learn new processes quickly and adapt to changing priorities, you are flexible and work calmly under pressure to ensure the department runs efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the sales department in conducting sales activities, planning for sales strategies and inventory management.
- Shipment coordination including daily planning, generation of paperwork, booking trucks and follow-up
- Be responsive to day-to-day issues, take proactive role in improvement initiatives and be a high-performing team player
- Work closely with Sales, Production, and Shipping departments to ensure scheduling within the required timeframe
- Track incoming/outgoing shipments and deliveries communicating delays, etc. to appropriate stake holders
- Manage internal and external controls related to packaging inventory
- Back up the Produce Sales Coordinator including daily order entry and billing
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Exceptional multitasking, organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced plant environment with minimal supervision
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Ability to analyze and determine priorities and adjust as circumstances change
- Resourceful with an eye for continuous improvement opportunities and the ability to recommend and implement positive change
