The opportunity:
We are seeking a Medical Doctor to join our team as a part-time independent contractor. As a vital member of our healthcare team, the physician will play an essential role in providing high-quality care to our patients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities, as required/applicable:
- Input clinical evaluation notes, treatments & related information on a paper based episodic care form.
- Answer inquiries in a helpful, respectful and efficient manner.
- Examine the health of patients to help make proper diagnoses of clinical conditions, prescribe medication and/or treatments.
- Educate, advise, and empower patients on preventive healthcare and disease prevention.
- Stay up to date with medical advancements to provide high-quality care.
- Perform all other related clinical, administrative or special tasks as needed.
Working Conditions & Location:
- The weekly hours are flexible, with the option of a part-time or full-time schedule based on the successful candidate's preferences.
- The medical professional can enjoy having the autonomy to determine their own schedule.
- The medical professional will work as an independent contractor.
- Our clinic operates morning, afternoon & evening clinics 5 days a week and afternoon clinics on Saturdays & Sundays.
- The clinic is located at 165 Main St, Moncton, NB.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate advanced clinical and critical thinking.
- Ability to maintain a high regard for confidentiality and patient advocacy.
- A self-motivated individual who can work independently and within a team environment.
- Proficiency with computers, including the use of the internet, electronic health record system, and other relevant software's.
- Contribute to a culture of problem solving, collaboration, and excellence.
- Demonstrate strong documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Exhibit compassion and patience.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English is required, proficiency in French is considered a strong asset.
- General knowledge of the New Brunswick medical system is an asset.
Experience/Education:
- Applicant must have a diploma from a recognized medical school and a residency providing a family medicine license.
- Applicant must be licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick.
- Applicant must be an active member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
- We encourage residents who will be completing their residency in June 2025 to apply.
