Job Summary

Responsible for accurate and timely finance reporting for Source Atlantic that complies with US GAAP. Optimize the close process to achieve HQ reporting timelines and accuracy. Support a potential ERP conversion. This role reports to the VP Finance and is responsible for managing three to four direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Align on standard closing procedures that are harmonized across Canada where possible unless driven by business differences.
• Document accounting policies in conjunction with the rest of Canadian Finance during the transition from Canadian ASPE to US GAAP.
• Perform a deep dive analysis of monthly/quarterly accruals.
• Review opportunities for automation.
• Develop a road map to achieve SOX compliance in 2025.
• Ensure financial data integrity and consistency.

Required Qualifications

• CPA/CA
• 10 y experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX
• Experience in a publicly traded company

• This role will be based in the Saint John, NB regional office.
