We are actively seeking a Senior Director of Finance and Business Management to join our team. They will consistently be the primary lead on financial management, while actively working with team members from all levels of the company to ensure integrity of data and timely completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial management: Develop, manage and oversee the organization's financial strategy, forecasting, and monitoring performance to ensure long-term sustainability. This includes preparation of internal financial reports and analysis.
Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance workflows for efficiency and quality including continuous implementation and development of financial controls and support of safety policy compliance and development.
Project management: Develop project tracking, analysis and job costing to support sales and operations management. Provide tender/RFP development support and sales data analysis to assist with marketing and sales initiatives.
Business management: Support for licensing, insurance, permit acquisition and bonding. Manage the procurement of materials, equipment and vehicle fleet. Oversee IT management with third-party provider.
Human resources management: Lead the accounting team, ensuring the right people, processes, and technology are in place to achieve organizational goals.
Leadership and culture: Serve as a role model for organizational values and ethical leadership by fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, diversity, and professional development. Promote a high level of morale and co-operation among the team, customers, suppliers and other partners by providing a direct and open line of communication.
Qualifications:
A university degree in Business Administration or Commerce, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
Chartered Professional Accountant designation, with progressive accounting and financial management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of five years in an operations role with at least three years managing a team.
Knowledge of the construction industry and familiarity with tendering and construction procurement processes.
Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity.
The ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
Strong HR skills and familiarity with payroll processes.
Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills to be able to build strong relationships with internal team members, clients and partners.
