Job Description
Here are a few ways you will make a difference:
Assisting the Manager in the management of all physical assets in Nunavut, including vehicles, property, equipment leases and inventories (furniture and office supplies).
Procuring items such as office supplies and equipment that are within their spending authority and in compliance with WSCC administrative policies.
Conducting walk-in and walk-out inspections of residential apartments with staff/tenants.
Aiding with the day-to-day safe operation and maintenance of the Regional offices' facilities and equipment (including, but not limited to Fire Extinguishers, AED Machine, First Aid Kits and Safety Data Sheets Binder)
Collaborates in the planning, coordination and delivery of internal WSCC events held in Iqaluit, including Staff Appreciation, Long Service Awards, annual Governance Council meetings and training events, and other events as required.
What you bring to the role:
- Completion of a Business Administration Diploma
- Two (2) years of directly related experience
- A Class 5 drivers license, or ability to acquire one within one (1) year is required administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills to simultaneously handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Computer skills, experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of office budgeting, accounting and financial procedures
