Description

Dairy Farmers of Nova Scotia is seeking a dynamic and creative Communications & Marketing specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in promoting the impact that Dairy Farms and the Dairy Sector have in Nova Scotia communities. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution skills to drive awareness and engagement with our target audience. You will have awareness and background in developing organizational policies that achieve the mandate set out in our recently launched strategic plan. You will be responsible to work with membership and partners to develop and implement local marketing & communications efforts that support our overall objectives. DFNS has a strong partnership with Dairy Farmers of Canada. The coordinator will maintain and nurture that partnership and sit on various committees that move both aligned messages forward. Additionally, your insights into market trends and customer needs will help refine our marketing approach, ensuring we remain competitive in a rapidly changing landscape. Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing & communications strategies for our membership

Manage the organization's membership-facing sites and work with DFC to improve our consumer-facing presence.

Conduct market research to identify trends and customer / partner preferences.

Assist in the planning and execution of organizational events.

Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing communications efforts and report on key metrics.

Develop internal organizational tools that improve membership communication

Develop local policy that adheres to the Dairy Act and relevant regulations

Work with local promotions policy and budget, manage partner relationship / budget (+1.5M)

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

Proven relevant experience

Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with digital marketing tools, and social media platforms.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market insights.

Creative mindset with a keen attention to detail.

Previous budget management experience
