Job Summary
The Program Manager, as part of the Management Team for the Mental Health and Addictions Program, is accountable for providing leadership, management and direction to geographically based interdisciplinary team and specialized case management team (s) located in St. John's. As part of the management team, this position is responsible for contributing to strategic directions of the Mental Health and Addictions Program. This position is accountable for the quality of mental health services provided across the continuum and is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the services and the efficient and effective use of resources. This position works with much autonomy, providing leadership to the interdisciplinary teams that model the values of NL Health Services.
Job Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in a health or social service-related discipline is required. Master's degree preferred. Current registration with relevant professional association and/or licensing body. Experience Five (5) years' experience within the last seven (7) in Mental Health and Addictions. Previous management experience is preferred. Experience in human resources management, financial management, change management and quality initiatives is an asset.

Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills are essential. Ability to delegate appropriately, work with others and coach a diverse group to develop their capabilities. Ability to manage continuous improvement and quality processes. Knowledge of provincial legislation pertaining to mental health and addictions. Ability to manage budgets and utilize funds allocated in accordance with prescribed policies and guidelines. High level interpersonal skills in order to maintain and establish positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong written and oral communications skills.
