Job Title: Network and Security Administrator
Location: [Dartmouth, NS -On-site/Hybrid]

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Network and Security Administrator to join our dynamic IT team and play a crucial role in safeguarding our infrastructure and maintaining optimal network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage secure network systems and infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and security of systems and services.
- Administer firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools.
- Configure and manage VLANs and support VoIP infrastructure to ensure secure and efficient communication systems.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analyses.
- Implement and enforce network security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure secure integration of systems and applications.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations and procedures.
- Respond to security breaches and support incident response and recovery efforts.
- Assist in helpdesk issues as needed [o365, windows, etc..]
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Network and/or Security Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall management.
- Hands-on experience with VLAN configuration and management.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting VoIP systems and related network services.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Proficiency in security systems (e.g., IDS/IPS, antivirus, SIEM).
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting various network and firewall devices
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Security+, CISSP) preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Configuration and support of WIFI systems
- A licence and access to a vehicle to service our locations as needed
