McInnes Cooper is seeking a driven and client focused Immigration Lawyer to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This role offers the flexibility of remote work and can be based anywhere within the Atlantic provinces or in one of our office locations (Halifax, Sydney, St. John's, Fredericton, Moncton, Saint John, or Charlottetown). As a key member of our immigration practice, you will manage a diverse portfolio of files and applications, provide strategic legal advice, draft submissions and legal documents, and work closely with clients to support them throughout their immigration journey. You'll also collaborate with colleagues, liaise with government authorities, and stay current with evolving immigration laws and policies to ensure informed, effective client representation.
As an Immigration Lawyer, you will be responsible for:
- Managing numerous files and applications simultaneously and working alongside other immigration team members;
- Analyzing complex legal issues and offering strategic advice;
- Representing and supporting clients at every stage of various immigration applications;
- Working with clients to gather information and supporting documentation;
- Conducting legal research, analyzing complex legal issues and offering strategic advice
- Drafting legal submissions, and other documents necessary for case management
- Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and government authorities to ensure successful outcomes; and,
- Monitoring changes in legal regulations, immigration laws, policies and incorporating those findings to your practice.

- Ability to leverage technological skills and established procedures and processes;
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple files; and,
