The Town of Shelburne is beginning the recruitment process for an experienced, designated professional accountant to fill the newly created role of Director of Corporate Services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a financial leader who thrives in a collaborative, community-focused environment. Our current Manager of Finance-who has served the Town for the past 33 years-is retiring effective April 1, 2026, and has generously offered to support a transition period to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities.

As Director of Corporate Services, you will assume the statutory responsibilities of Municipal Treasurer, while also providing oversight and leadership in the areas of financial management, budgeting, reporting, asset management, and strategic planning. This is a key leadership position within the Town's administration and plays an integral role in supporting the CAO and Council through sound financial stewardship.

With increased economic activity on the horizon-including a new 112-bed nursing home and other developments-the Town's finance department is being re-aligned to accommodate and manage this growth. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape the future of Shelburne's financial and corporate services landscape.

What We're Looking For

· A designated accounting professional (CPA) or equivalent education and experience

· Financial leadership experience, ideally in a municipal setting

· Strong knowledge of municipal finance, budget development, and financial reporting

· Experience with asset management planning, audit preparation, and financial systems

· Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and with Council
