Hours: (12 hours, 8 hours, Shift Work; Days, Evenings, Nights, On-Call, Weekends, Standby)
Salary: CG-19 (CAD20.45 - CAD22.07 per hour plus the applicable Labrador Allowance)

Reporting to the Manager of Environmental/Laundry Services and/or designate, the primary purpose of this position is to maintain clean, sanitary and safe environments in all Facilities or Accommodation areas operated (or rented) by Labrador Grenfell Health.”Qualifications:
? High School Graduation
? Sufficient physical strength and conditioning to perform extensive and continuing
janitorial/custodial tasks.
? Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and to perform quality
assurance reporting activities.
? Must have initiative and be able to work independently.
? Experience in janitorial work would be considered an asset
? Knowledge of the chemicals, cleaning practices, equipment and supplies used in the
processes would be considered an asset
? A satisfactory Code of Conduct will be required
? The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.
Duties: (Included but not limited to)
? Dry and wet mop floors; vacuum carpets; clean walls, furniture, fixed and selected non-fixed
equipment as per daily, weekly and monthly schedules and as otherwise assigned;
? Operation of all equipment utilized within the department;
? Collect garbage as scheduled and as required;
? Cleaning/Disinfection of hard surfaces throughout the Facilities
? Cleaning/Disinfection of Client/Resident’s rooms and other areas of facilities;
? Cleaning/Disinfection of Dirty Utility Room walls and floors;
? Ordering Housekeeping supplies;
? Other related duties as required
