GENERAL DUTIES:

You will review source documentation, prepare and enter journal entries, and input sheets. You will prepare reconciliations, account analysis and/or work order analysis. You will prepare working papers, summaries and reports. You will prepare documentation for the rate hearing process. You will prepare statistical reports and provide direction to accounting clerks. You will be responsible for all other duties related to or associated with this classification.

You are responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation's Safety and Health Program. You are responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful completion of a 3 year diploma in Business (Accounting) from a recognized post-secondary institution OR the successful completion of a two (2) or three (3) year diploma program from an accredited post-secondary institution and the successful completion of the following CPA preparatory courses:

  • Introductory Financial Accounting
  • Introductory Management Accounting
  • Intermediate Financial Reporting I
  • Intermediate Financial Reporting II
  • Buisness Law
  • Three additional Core CPA Pre-Requisite Topic Courses

Successful completion of CPA courses is achieved by obtaining a minimum course grade as per CPA guidelines. An official transcript must be included with the application to be considered.
