THE ROLE:
Reporting to, the owner, the CEO will lead the team at Jackman Eye Institute and Lens & Lasik towards operational excellence. The CEO, as the most senior member of the organization, is responsible for the overall direction and vision of Jackman Eye Institute. The CEO must provide leadership, strong decision-making abilities, guidance, and support to the employees at Jackman Eye Institute. As the leader you possess strong communication skills, are empathetic and someone who can make strategic decisions that will center around organizational growth and direction.
The CEO must be comfortable and competent with managing information and making decisions, negotiating with various public health stakeholders, finding innovative solutions to problems, forecasting growth, and administering and monitoring budgets and utilizing technology to its full capacity.
THE KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and implement the organizations strategic plan to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across all business functions.
- Lead risk management efforts to safeguard the company's assets and reputation.
- Ensure safe, efficient and successful operations that are aligned with the vision of the ownership team.
- Lead the operations to foster maximum performance, accountability, and employee engagement.
- Evaluate and enhance processes to maximize efficiency.
- Provide leadership, direction, vision, supervision, and support to the senior management team and employees.
- Provide ownership with regular updates on the status of activities and relationships.
- Establish and monitor performance of staff.
- Liaise with all levels of government, community members, and various stakeholders.
- Ensure Jackman Eye Institute and Lens & Lasik's fiscal position and overall financial management controls are well managed and maintained.
- Ensure a professional, collaborative, and learning culture is nurtured and maintained throughout the organization.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as requested.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Proven experience as a CEO or senior executive.
- Academic background in an area of Business Administration (MBA Preferred), engineering or accounting.
- 15+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience while demonstrating operational excellence and achievement of organizational goals.
- Must have exceptional leadership, decision making, analytical, planning, organizational, prioritization, and execution skills, as well as oral and written communications skills.
