(One Year Contractual Position)
DUTIES
Under the leadership of the Manager, Policy and Organizational Effectiveness, the Training Coordinator will play a crucial role in advancing employee training and development. Duties include developing, implementing, and managing organizational training related to a broad range of topics that support a healthy workplace and university community. More specifically, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, managing and maintaining training requirements for departments and employee groups including conducting training needs assessments; delivering training to the university community; assisting in the development and implementation of training exercises; collaborating with internal and external partners to explore training opportunities; and performing other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Considerable experience (3-5 years) in developing and facilitating training; completion of post-secondary education with a focus on adult learning or education is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience with Microsoft Office is required and experience with Brightspace would be considered an asset. Certifications to teach standard first aid, mental health first aid, ASIST and/or safeTALK would be considered assets.
SALARY $55,865 - $83,793 per annum (Management and Professional)
