The opportunity:

Dr. Roxanne Ouellet is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or a Medical Doctor to join her team as an Independent Contractor. As a vital member of our healthcare team, the medical professional will play an essential role in providing high-quality care to our patients. Key Responsibilities, as required/applicable:

  • Maintain patient files, encounter information, clinical data, and other information in a careful and confidential manner via EMR Software.
  • Answer inquiries in a helpful, respectful and efficient manner.
  • Review and process faxes electronically, including patient referrals.
  • Examine the health of patients to help make proper diagnoses of clinical conditions and prescribe medication, treatments, and/or follow-up care as required.
  • Educate, advise, and empower patients on preventive healthcare and disease prevention.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals.
  • Stay up to date with medical advancements to provide high-quality care.
  • Perform all other related clinical, administrative or special tasks as needed.

Working Conditions & Location:

  • The weekly hours are flexible, with the option of a part-time or full-time schedule based on the successful candidate's preferences.
  • The medical professional can enjoy having the autonomy to determine their own schedule with the addition of working remotely on certain days of the week.
  • The medical professional will work as an independent contractor.
  • Our clinic operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and remains closed on evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • The clinic's team currently includes Dr. Roxanne Ouellet, a Nurse Practitioner, a Registered Nurse, and administrative support staff.
  • The clinic is located at 544 St. George Blvd, Moncton, NB.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate advanced clinical and critical thinking.
  • Ability to maintain a high regard for confidentiality and patient advocacy.
  • A self-motivated individual who can work independently and within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computers, including the use of the internet, electronic medical record system, and other relevant software's.
  • Contribute to a culture of problem solving, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Demonstrate strong documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit compassion and patience.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English is required, proficiency in French is considered a strong asset.
  • General knowledge of the New Brunswick medical system is an asset.

Experience/Education:

Applicable to Nurse Practitioners

  • The applicant must have successfully completed a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, a master's degree in Practical Nursing is required.
  • The applicant must have successfully completed the Canadian Nurse Practitioner Examination.
  • The applicant must be currently registered and in good standing with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB).
  • We encourage residents who will be completing their residency in 2025 to apply.
  • Completion of a Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) training program, which includes attending a two-weekend conference, is required prior to starting.

Applicable to Medical Doctors

  • Applicant must have a diploma from a recognized medical school and a residency providing a family medicine license.
  • Applicant must be licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick.
  • Applicant must be an active member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
  • We encourage residents who will be completing their residency in June 2025 to apply.
  • Completion of a Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) training program, which includes attending a two-weekend conference, is required prior to starting.

Note: The medical professional will have the opportunity to begin with smaller cases, and Dr. Ouellet will personally review each with the successful candidate until they feel fully confident in handling cases independently.
