Ernst & Young Electronic Publishing Services Inc. (EYEP) provides clients with tax and accounting knowledge, content management, and web technology advisory services. EYEP produces tax, legal, and accounting titles for a variety of distribution channels, including digital and print.

The opportunity

EYEP has an opening for a Junior Information and Research Coordinator to cover a 14-month leave. The Junior Information and Research Coordinator has responsibility for tracking, updating, maintaining content in various formats, software and content management systems. The Junior Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring quality and carrying-out timely updates of the content.

Your key responsibilities

  • Track and process accounting information for the purposes of posting online to EY's Global Assurance platform. This material includes standards, legislation, news releases, and administrative materials;
  • Ensure all updates are handled in an efficient and timely manner;
  • Work with large content files to manipulate their format and structure for electronic publication;
  • Work in Content Management Systems to update content online;
  • Work with developer team on content conversion and parsing applications;
  • Monitor projects and address any production problems or issues online;
  • Understanding new content and technologies and how they relate to our team and the larger firm.


Skills and attributes for success

  • Ability to be proactive, use own initiative, and work independently, as well as part of the team;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma;
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a professional environment;
  • The ability to meet monthly deadlines and process material efficiently;
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and flexibility;
  • A high degree of comfort learning and applying new technology;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively, work independently, and deal with clients, colleagues, and government sources professionally and effectively;
  • Practical knowledge of any of the following is a plus: Folio, HTML, XML, Oxygen;
  • Training in Folio, research, file manipulation, etc. will be provided;
  • Bilingualism in both French and English is considered an asset.
