Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join team at Immeubles Perfection Realty. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing budgeting and forecasting, and driving the overall financial strategy. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in accounting, financial analysis, and a deep understanding of accounting principles, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the company's financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting principles, and timely delivery of reports.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing financial statements and reports.
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support company decision-making.
Lead the preparation and analysis of financial reports, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or growth.
Ensure compliance with federal, provincial and local financial regulations and requirements.
Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure financial stability.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial consultants to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly.
Work closely with senior leadership to align financial goals with company strategy and provide strategic financial insights.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA an asset).
years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Controller, Accounting Manager, etc.)
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Simply, Sage, QuickBooks, etc..) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or CMA certification (an asset)
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Bilingual would be an asset
