Choices for Youth (CFY) and Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services (NL Health Services) have partnered to build a provincial Integrated Youth Services (IYS) network that is to be integrated with existing primary health care services and the Family Care Team model. Expanding from one existing IYS site in St. John’s to five across NL, this initiative is an innovative opportunity to bridge the gap in youth service delivery, ensuring that all youth have access to the resources they need to thrive.Reporting to the Strategic Health Network Director, this position will facilitate, support, and enable the design, implementation, and evaluation of the Integrated Youth Services (IYS) model within identified Family Care Teams in NL Health Services. The manager will be the lead related to implementation of the IYS model within NL Health Services, supporting the provincial and zonal project and change management activities, engagement and integration that will enable successful implementation of the model.
The manager acts as a liaison with Choices for Youth (CFY) and works collaboratively with partners to:
• Provide leadership to build a provincially consistent approach within NL Health Services that is integrated with other primary health care services and the Family Care Team model.
• Leverages internal capacity during the design and building phase and prepares leadership within zones to take operational responsibility once sites are established.
• Supports strategic and operational planning, research, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives related to implementation of the model.
• The manager supports the development of service level agreements and program and financial reporting.
• The manager works to identify additional services and support which can be provided, in-kind as part of this model, and identifies gaps which may require new positions to support the model.
• Considerable travel can be anticipated.
The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of activities including, but are not limited to: education of various stakeholders regarding the IYS model and vision for the future, leveraging best practices and lessons learned to facilitate optimum implementation of the IYS model in NL, assessment of workflows and developing appropriate implementation strategies, creation and implementation of project action plans, collection of feedback to support the evaluation and responsiveness of the model, communication to various stakeholder audiences through multiple media venues, establishing relationships with leadership within and across zones to assist with engagement related activities.

Job Qualifications:
Education
• A Bachelor's degree in a health-related field and current registration with the related professional association is required.
• Change Management Certification would be considered an asset.
• Education in process improvement/Lean is considered an asset.
Experience
• A minimum of two (2) years’ leadership experience within the last four (4) working in a healthcare environment as a clinical professional in one of the professional service areas, specifically child-youth/mental health/primary care, is required
• Experience with program development/evaluation is required.
• Experience in designing and implementing change programs within a multi-stakeholder professional environment is required.
• Experience implementing large scale process improvement is required.

The ability to work outside of regular working hours and the ability to travel to health sites is required.
Significant travel within the province and region is required and use of a private vehicle is a condition of employment.
The successful candidate will be expected to reside within the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
