The Opportunity
EY Technology Consulting is a fast-moving and high-growth area within EY. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager – D365 F&O Project Manager to join our Technology Consulting team. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to realize your leadership potential. We are looking for an individual who combines experience leading D365 F&O with an aptitude for driving sales pursuits and for helping grow our business.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager – D365 F&O Project Manager, your responsibilities will be fourfold: (1) take on the day-to-day project management of D365 F&O projects, (2) drive and support business development and sales pursuits within the D365 F&O space, (3) assist with developing methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view and thought leadership to accelerate growth and differentiate EY, and (4) actively invest in and mentor team members on and off projects to create a followership and to expand our expertise and capabilities, including acting as a liaison and increasing collaboration with our offshore team.
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience project managing full-cycle D365 F&O projects
- Strong written and verbal client-facing communication and presentation skills; should be comfortable interacting with clients daily
- The ability to effectively team with diverse skills and backgrounds and foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment
- Experience with (leading) proposal writing and preparing and delivering orals presentations
- An interest in staying abreast of D365 F&O and project management trends
- A forward thinker and self-starter that thrives on an adapts quickly to new challenges
- A strong work ethic, an ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and ease, and a high degree of professionalism to tackle evolving, challenging and diverse client needs
- Lead project planning and management activities, including creating project plans, defining scope, tracking progress, and managing risks and issues.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, project sponsors, and external partners to define project objectives and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
- Monitor project progress and ensure that project tasks are completed on-time and within budget.
- Facilitate project meetings, including regular status updates with stakeholders and team members.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, risk and issue logs, and status reports.
- This role involves interaction with clients operating nationally and globally where fluency in French and English is required. Bilingualism in both French and English is therefore a requirement of this role. While based in Montreal, this position will interact with external and internal stakeholders both within and outside of Canada. French and English bilingualism is therefore a requirement.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, commerce, accounting, computer science, engineering, business, finance and/or other related major
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the D365 F&O domain, including numerous years of hands-on functional experience
- A minimum of 5 years of D365 F&O project management experience, covering a minimum of 2 full-cycle projects
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of D365 F&O functionality and integration with other enterprise systems.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
