Marketing Advisor (Pay Band 4)

Who we are

Communications & Marketing is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and energetic Marketing Advisor to join our dynamic central marketing team. If youâ??re a creative professional with a strong marketing background, a passion for public service, and a desire to make a positive impact on New Brunswick, this role is for you.

What you will do
With sharp creative and strategic instincts for marketing, you will develop, implement, and evaluate marketing strategies to effectively communicate government programs, services and initiatives to the public. Collaborating closely with the in-house creative team to develop visually appealing and engaging materials, including graphics, videos, and other multimedia content, you will be responsible for ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, youâ??ll work collaboratively with the marketing and media planning teams, social media and communications staff within the departments to ensure projects meet and exceed expectations and are delivered on time, and within budget.

Day-to-day activities include

  • Writing, project managing and executing marketing plans
  • Coordinating project workflows with the creative and production team
  • Crafting compelling copy for various platforms
  • Managing the creative approval process including, submitting creative assets for client review and facilitating required changes
  • Developing monthly and quarterly campaign evaluation reports
  • Reviewing and proofing all advertising materials
  • Organizing and attending client meetings
  • Conducting research to gain insight to inform strategies, messaging and understand attitudes and behaviours towards a diverse range of topics
  • Other marketing-related tasks as assigned

Work environment

  • Office location: 675 King Street, Fredericton
  • Your team: Marketing & Creative Services
  • Mostly in-office work with potential ability to work remotely
  • Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15 am - 4:30 pm
  • We promote a scent-reduced environment

Qualifications

This fast-paced position requires outstanding critical and strategic thinking skills. Your proven leadership and strong interpersonal skills allow you to build effective working relationships with team members and departmental clients, while your experience and dedication enable you to develop and deliver marketing and advertising campaigns that are both innovative and effective.

Need to have

  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong attention to detail
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of digital and social marketing trends and tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Nice to have (asset qualifications)

  • Agency experience is not required, but is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with government processes and communication strategies are considered an asset

Education and language

  • A minimum of three years relevant marketing experience
  • Bachelorâ??s degree in marketing, business, public relations or a related field from a recognized postâ??secondary institution

Wage

Pay Band 4 - $57,616 to $80,574 per year
