Purpose:
Contributes to the overall success of the Confirmation & Settlement Operations, specifically supporting operational activities for Money Market Operations in Toronto, Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Ensures timely confirmation and settlement of trades by tracking unmatched transactions across numerous workstations and participates in root cause analysis to determine if mitigating processes are possible.
• Ability to deal with issues / changes in trading products as they impact Money Market Operations.
• Understands internal control procedures and provides feedback to management to ensure controls remain relevant and robust.
• Contributing to the annual refresh of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:
• University Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Capital Markets
• Strong knowledge of all Bank policies, regulatory requirements, limits and controls which may affect or restrict all aspects of the day-to-day responsibilities for the unit.
• Solid grasp of principles of all operating systems and applications used by the unit.
• Adaptability to operate in a rapidly changing environment regarding policies, procedures, automation, and client needs.
• Excellent communication skills
• Results focused to identify and take action on any issues/concerns/processes in a timely matter.
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills and sound judgment needed to critically examine processes, including in- depth knowledge of the operational processes and inputs from up and downstream systems
Work Arrangement:
• Hybrid work environment (3 days in office) between core operational hours 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
• Overtime may be required during peak periods or high-volume days.
• Coverage on Statutory holidays is required.
• Occasional weekend support for project or testing can be required.
