Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for someone who lives by our corporate values of Heart, Integrity and Drive. The Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk is responsible for recording invoices, processing payments, reconciling statements, and setting up new vendor accounts for their assigned companies. This role involves communication and follow-up with operational managers, department managers, and external vendors on a regular basis.
What you'll do
Job Responsibilities
- Working with OnePay software for invoice processing.
- Recording invoices in Sage 300.
- Importing invoices and reconciling payments for food vendors on a weekly basis.
- Processing payments weekly by cheque, EFT, auto debit, and online.
- Reconciling vendor statements.
- Setting up new accounts with vendors, which is most often done for acquisitions, store relocations, and new store construction.
- Closing vendor accounts as needed for store closures.
- Providing invoice copies to other departments and to Operations as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Accounting diploma, business degree, or a minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Solid knowledge of the Accounts Payable role in a business.
- Strong knowledge and capabilities in spreadsheets.
- Good at problem solving.
- Strong communication skills.
