This role works as part of the Stores team and will be based in the Warehouse within our Hackett's Cove facility. The Stores Department is a section of the Supply Chain Team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management within the facility. This includes the receipt, storage, tracking, distribution and reconciliation of materials.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Create, kit and receive work orders;
- Use of computer programs such as MS Office, SYSPRO, Unipoint, Sysdata, JIRA:
- Receipt of goods from suppliers and data entry related to this;
- Liaising with planning to take action on changes or deviations related to parts;
- Generating Shortage Reports;
- Supporting requests from internal customers (Engineering, Production, Test, Etc)
- Perform physical stock counts according to procedures and investigate discrepancies;
- Prepare spares kits for transmitters;
- Coordinate shipments to and from Nautel's US facility;
- Generating requisitions for materials;
- Control and supporting processing of non-conforming material
- Back-up for other roles including receiving and shipping.
Applicants should have:
- An understanding of how Stores operates and interacts with other departments and customers;
- Previous experience managing inventory in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage;
- Experience using an ERP system; previous use of Syspro would be an advantage;
- Experience using software systems and having comfort in using multiple software tools;
- Demonstrate excellent organizational abilities;
- The ability to physically move materials and move throughout the facility (lifting generally around 5kg/11lb up to 9kg/20lbs. Some assemblies may be heavier so ability to lift items over 20 lbs repetitively may be required. Ability to move material with a pallet jack. Will also require close visual acuity to work with small parts and read documentation);
- Forklift certification, or desire to obtain this certification;
- Ability to use a computer in daily role;
