We are currently seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA). This position is 100% in office in Halifax, NS.

Key Duties:

CI/CD Pipeline Management:

Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (Groovy) and bash scripts.

Ensure seamless integration and deployment processes on a managed Jenkins platform.

Microservices Architecture:

Design, implement, and manage microservices architecture.

Support blue-green deployments and multi-region setups to ensure high availability and reliability.

Observability and Monitoring:

Enhance system observability by implementing monitoring and logging solutions.

Ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.

Database Management:

Manage and optimize RDS instances for performance and reliability.

Implement backup and recovery strategies for databases.

Scripting and Automation:

Develop and maintain bash/shell scripts to automate routine tasks and processes.

Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation into the development lifecycle.

Code Review and Understanding:

Review and understand code structures in Java and Python.

Provide feedback and support to development teams to ensure

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

5+ years experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, and blue-green deployments.

5+ years experience managing Jenkins platform, enhancing observability, and managing RDS instances.

5+ years experience in bash/shell scripting and the ability to understand code structures in Java and Python are essential.
