Role Description:
Reporting to the Corporate Director of HR & Compliance, the Compensation & Benefits Manager will become a key member of the corporate HR team, offering subject matter expertise to managers and cross-functional teams across all locations and lines of business. Owning the compensation process and ensuring compliance, the successful candidate will develop and oversee annual compensation cycles, including salary planning and bonus analysis, as well as providing ad-hoc insights to support and drive business decisions. The successful candidate will also oversee benefits administration and manage relationships with various providers, ensuring adequate coverage and suggesting ways in which the various plans can be improved.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and deliver competitive and equitable compensation programs (e.g., annual salary planning, job evaluations, pay grades, etc.) that are in line with corporate objectives by researching relevant markets, monitoring effectiveness regularly, and revising as needed;
- Provide support and guidance to operational leaders and corporate managers on matters related to compensation, ensuring compliance and pay equity are being followed across all locations;
- Collaborate with the leadership and finance team(s) to forecast the costs and impact of various compensation plans, preparing and managing the budget for compensation;
- Manage relationships with third-party Group Benefits providers in three countries (Canada, US, UK), negotiating and selecting cost-effective plans as needed;
- Support HR team(s) with recruitment and talent management activities as it relates to compensation, aligning compensation programs with recruitment strategies to attract quality candidates;
- Monitor internal equity and analytics, preparing reports and presentations for senior leaders to assist with business decision-making;
- Remain up-to-date on broader compensation and benefits trends in both Canada and the US.
Your Qualifications:

You are a business-minded and proactive individual who is consistently aware of trends related to compensation and comfortable bringing forward those trends to senior leadership so as to ensure Inland's competitive position is maintained.
Qualifications include:
- Post-secondary education, preferably with a concentration in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or another related field;
- Certified Compensation Professional, Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), or Compensation Management Specialist would be considered ideal professional designations;
- 3+ years minimum of progressive experience in a Compensation & Benefits Manager role within a large and dynamic organization;
- Extensive knowledge of benefits and compensation programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation;
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate data;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present ideas to the leadership team and development solutions to drive performance;
- Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities;
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel.
