Accounts Receivable Clerk (billing) - St. John's
(parental leave replacement)

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk (billing) for a parental leave replacement. The individual is a key member of the accounting team and will have responsibility for coordinating the billing of the firm's accounts by collaborating closely with our clients and lawyers. The individual will perform duties with due diligence and a proactive approach. The primary responsibilities include:
- Maintain current and up to date records of client contacts and billing information.
- Perform data entry for client billings.
- Produce client billings as per terms and conditions of established contracts and distribute to clients.
- Respond to clients regarding billing inquiries.
- Maintain records of outstanding payments
- Distribute reminder statements, as necessary.
- Produce WIP (work in progress) reports.
- Monitor and code trust account statements.
- Complete Trust Transfers.
- Act as back-up for accounts payables and receivables.
- Provide general support to the accounting team as necessary; and
- Other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Accounting Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Two to three years' accounting experience. Previous collections experience is considered an asset.
- Above average proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and;
- Organized approach to multitasking in a high activity environment.
