Port Hawkesbury Paper is currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Operations team as a Woodroom 2nd Operator. The ideal candidate must be a team player who is capable of performing safely in a highly technical and flexible work environment.

As a Woodroom 2nd Operator, you will work with the Woodroom 1st Operator on wood processing equipment to create wood chips for our papermaking process. This position provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you are always on the move and able to work with your hands. It requires shift work and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision. Also must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Skills/Competency Requirements:

· Ability to work safely as part of a team

· Mechanically minded

· Attention to detail and pride in quality work

· Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to multi-task

· Strong organizational and communication skills

· Proficient computer skills

· Must pass a depth perception test

Experience/Education Requirements:

· Grade XII or equivalent

· Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment

· Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out procedures

Compensation: $30.22/hour per Collective Agreement (based on an average of 39 hours/week). Port Hawkesbury Paper offers competitive compensation with a comprehensive benefits package, and a challenging, rewarding work environment.
