Purpose

The Manager, GWO Vendor Management – Global Wholesale Operations (GWO) provides the management support necessary to:

  • Manage and govern the vendor contract lifecycle effectively.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations, internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance and oversight according to the Bank's Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Procurement policies
  • Management of execution of contracts, issue resolution, and due diligence requirements.

The role supports GWO by ensuring that all utilities using third-party vendors or intending to execute contracts understand the bank's policies. It also guides them through the process to improve efficiency.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Engage and establish internal relationships across all teams and levels within GWO to promote awareness and compliance with the bank's Third-Party Risk Management policies. Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts, including external vendors and internal departments such as 1A, 1B, 2A, Control Functions, Regulatory Compliance and Legal.
  • Develop and demonstrate SME level knowledge of the Bank's TPRM policies, GWO's mandate and operating expense categories - primarily data processing, software licensing & maintenance and market data
  • Manage GWO contract lifecycle and advise on procedures according to the Bank's risk appetite and TPRM policies
  • Responsible for coordinating responses on Complimentary User Entities Controls, managing target issuance dates and SOC report distribution, completing SOC Analysis and Management letter for the Annual KPMG and Scotia Trust Audit
  • Pre and post contract execution management – Ongoing Monitoring and governance of engagements and relationships with our contract owners and vendor
  • Supporting ad hoc requests for amendments, license renewals, renegotiations and terminations
  • Data management and reporting: quarterly monitoring, reviewing reassessment dates, outstanding reassessments, outstanding engagements, updating contract owners, incompliant agreements with no icm records, supporting renewals, expiries and termination
  • Ensure the tracking, measuring, evaluation, and reporting of contract management to drive adherence, visibility and accountability. Ensuring contracts align to expenditure limits for execution
  • Work closely with internal and external partners as Vendor Management SME to identify areas of improvement to streamline and optimize processes and workflows
  • Support GWO executive with Contract Management and execution

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree
  • Minimum of five years' working experience
  • Experience in Vendor Management is an asset
  • Experience with Third Party Risk Management is an asset
  • Experience with Contract Management is an asset

Work Arrangement: This position is currently a Hybrid role. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
