Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Team Manager, the Implementation Specialist – Business Services is responsible to implement and deliver customer specific Voice, Data and Dedicated Internet solutions. Responsible for project management of the network build, the Implementation Specialist will work with cross functional teams to provide customer specific services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage multiple Implementation projects at a time.
- Work closely with Customer Solutions Engineers to ensure solutions are implemented as per the approved engineered design.
- Liaise with Engineering and Operation Departments to ensure solutions are delivered on time and provide the necessary information and equipment for ongoing support.
- Coordinate the delivery of plant ready solutions to Business Support to schedule the installation of standard Business Services.
- Interface with suppliers to ensure network hardware and other materials are ordered and delivered on time.
- Monitor, maintain project budgets.
- Routinely communicate with Business customers, managing expectations, reporting project updates and troubleshoot/resolve challenges that present themselves.
- Produce reports for Business Sales Account Managers of project status, forecast of project completions.
Experience & Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a related field required.
- Understanding of network design, including Structured Cabling, Fiber Optic, and Fiber Coax systems would be beneficial.
- Telecommunications knowledge or experience is preferred, with emphasis on Internet, Data, Voice, and cable TV.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Internet, Email.
- Must have a valid driver’s license as some local and regional travel will be required.
