We are searching for a Learning and Development Assistant to join our Learning and Development team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity
- Provides administrative support for student placement coordination including maintaining a comprehensive tracker of student placement programs, dates and locations and ensuring required documents are gathered and processed
- Assists with tracking and maintenance of internal work and learn program participants including those completing the CCA RPL process and our internal Enhanced LPN orientation
- Provides administrative support to the Employee Engagement Coordinator in the management of employee recognition and reward programs to ensure both accuracy and timeliness of recognition
- Assists in the administration of Great People Store item redemptions including maintaining an accurate inventory of items
- Assists in the preparation and execution of Great People Month and the Annual Excellence Awards
- Provides logistical and administrative support for learning events (room bookings, set up, participant reminders, refreshments, attendance lists etc)
- Prepares the learning environment and supporting resources (handouts, course materials program supplies), including setting up IT equipment where appropriate to support session structure
- Assists with manual sign off for course completion
- Enters and tracks program evaluations
- Assists with the administration of the Learning and Development shared email inbox
- Develops and maintains positive, collaborative working relationships with all staff to sustain the reputation of the Learning and Development team as a customer focused function
About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
- High school diploma/GED
- Administrative Professional Diploma considered an asset
- 3- 5 years experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); use of Learning Management System (LMS)
- Strong organization skills, high attention to detail and demonstrated initiative
- Strong interpersonal skills
