Rothesay Netherwood School (1877) is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school for Grades 6 to 12 that offers innovative, world-class learning experiences in a safe and caring school community. RNS seeks an experienced and dedicated School Counsellor to be a key member of the Wellness Team, ensuring a safe, supportive and welcoming environment to both staff and students. This position will work closely with the school nurses and chaplain to enhance student well-being.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Offer individual and group therapy sessions
• Develop treatment plans
• Maintain accurate records
• Provide information sessions
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
• Coordinate and run restorative circles

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Experience in providing mental health counselling and therapy
• Knowledge of different therapeutic modalities and techniques
• Strong empathy and understanding of a diverse student population
• Possess one of the following designations in New Brunswick: Licensed Counselling Therapist, Licensed Psychologist, or Registered Social Worker
