The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Commercial Operations Co-Op Student to join our Copper and PGM Commercial Operations team in Toronto.

This is an on-site/hybrid position, working a Monday – Friday schedule. This is a 12 month-fixed term co-op position starting in May 2025.

As a Commercial Operations Co-Op Student, your experience and skills will help to support and ensure the execution of all functions that contribute to the business unit through the accomplishment of sales administration processes.

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Submit payment the vendors invoices related to the supervision and umpire services provided for the Intermediates and Copper sales and to follow-up the process until payment has been made (including SES creation in SAP)
  • Perform the "2nd analyst validation" for the Intermediates and Copper invoices issued by the co-workers.
  • To manage the shipment approval process for the PGM Cake, which includes the following activities:
    • To attend a weekly call with production team
    • To follow up on shipment schedule
    • To calculate the value of the shipment
    • To get the shipment approval from the Credit Risk team
    • To create the sales order in SAP and to get it approved.
    • To inform ops team and logistics team about the approval
    • To have the insurance certificate created
  • To provide support to other sales processes which may include:
    • contract creation in SAP
    • sales order creation in SAP
    • invoice issuance in SAP
    • submission of cash application to treasury
  • To daily validate the metal prices entered in the system

About You

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a co-op program with a major in business, sales and supply chain or related fields.

Skills:

  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Solid verbal, written and analytical communication skills
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
