Reporting to the Manager of the Project Management Office, the Project Controller duties include managing project planning, scheduling planning meetings and progress check-ins, estimating and monitoring project costs and reviewing project quality compared to the desired objective. Project Controller responsibilities include collaborating with construction teams and consultants working on the project.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the project management programs/systems.
- Coordinate and manage the QA/QC management systems at site with assistant of commercial construction team.
- Ensure QA/QC processes and procedures meet the goals and visions.
- Assist with coordinating with consultants, contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders during the planning, construction, and closeout phase of the projects.
- Managing the use of the project management programs or software including the full employment of it features, throughout all project phases.
- Preparing project estimates.
- Assisting with administering contracts including preparing contracts, reviewing and updating existing contracts and maintaining an organized filing system.
- Assist with project procurement, track and assist with forecasting materials and other project costs.
- Procurement cost management or estimating program and/or equivalent education.
- Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications and develop detailed quantity takeoff.
- Managing cost control in construction environments.
- Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
- Ability to logically sequence construction work and build a realistic schedule.
- Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.
- Excellent organizational and technical abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure results are delivered on time and strong. communication skills to collaborate with project stakeholders are essential for this role.
- Must be prepared to work with a fast-paced team in a busy environment.
