The Director of Real Property and Operations will manage the organization's day-to-day real property and operations portfolio, including the development and implementation of operational plans aligning with corporate strategy, overseeing the maintenance, marine, and property teams, and analyzing operational safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
· Develop, execute, and update a long-term strategy to facilitate improvements for Real Property and Operations.
· Develops and maintains positive and transparent relationships with key stakeholders such as tenants, landlords and event coordinators.
· Analyze operational efficiency to ensure effectiveness and to capitalize on improvement opportunities.
· Lead and manage the Maintenance, Marine, and Property Management teams.
· Develop and implement processes, procedures, workflows, and monitor the efficiency, safety, productivity, and effectiveness of the Real Property and Operations portfolio.
· Provide oversight and leadership for the Planned Maintenance Program.
· Ensure the execution of standards, controls, policies, procedures, and performance metrics to effectively and efficiently manage the acquisition and reporting of third-party spend across the organization.
· Lead rigorous and objective contract and leasing negotiations with key internal and external stakeholders, legal department, and support groups.
· Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
· Undergraduate degree in business, finance, real estate management or related field or equivalent experience.
· 10+ years in a Real Property and/or Operations leadership role or similar position with at least 5 years in a senior management position.
· Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills with experience dealing with both internal and public stakeholders.
· Demonstrated team player and collaborative working style.
· Demonstrated proactive self-starter, ability to identify process improvement opportunities and follow through with improvement initiatives from identification to completion.
· Significant experience leading and supporting an organizational safety program.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet tight and often conflicting deadlines.
· Experience providing oversight on a large marine, maintenance, and/or property management portfolio is an asset.
· Must have refined analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
· Must have advanced technical skills including proficiency with MS Office and previous operations management software programs.
