The School-Based Security Guard shall be responsible to support the administration of the school with the overall security of the building during regular working hours. The School-Based Security Guard shall monitor incoming and outgoing traffic in the building, utilize technical security devices to monitor traffic, if available, make recommendations on matters relating to security and respond to general inquires from visitors. The School-Based Security Guard will work within an established accountability framework to ensure a high level of security is maintained and the service level responds to the needs of the school. Working collaboratively within a team environment, the SchoolBased Security Guard report directly to the Principal.
Qualifications:
(a) High School Diploma or equivalent obtained through relevant experience and education;
(b) Minimum five (5) years of successful experience working in an area of responsibility pertaining to security or related activities;
(c) Physical abilities consistent with the requirements of the position;
Rate of Pay:
This is a Professional Employees Group (PEG) position classified on the Education Entities Non-Union Compensation Framework at Band 1 with an annual range between $36,288 to $45,360.
