We are currently seeking candidates for the permanent, full-time position of Staff Accountant for the Accounting Services Group with Noseworthy Chapman Chartered Professional Accountants, for our St. John's office.

Required Skills:

• Prepare and record financial transactions including sales and purchases.
• Prepare reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
• Preparation of payroll, including pay cheques, vacation pay calculations, Records of Employment and withholding tax remittances.
• Preparation and filing of HST and HAPSET.
• Annual filings including annual T-Slips, Workplace NL reporting.
• Compile financial statements and other financial reports for clients.
• Provide other ad hoc accounting services to our clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting considered an asset however, candidates with other appropriate experience and qualifications will be considered.
• Experience with Sage 50, QuickBooks and/or Xero accounting systems, and Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong communications, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities toward set deadlines.
